For some, this means providing easy access to wellness information. For others who need more intensive assistance, we can offer the First Health® Care Support Program.

Our care support staff has access to the comprehensive information needed to evaluate members and their needs, since we handle all health benefits, clinical, provider, and claims calls within a single application.

With care support, we leverage our pharmacy and claims data to find the members who will benefit from more focused attention.

Care support is a valuable expansion of the benefit services you may already provide to your plan members. Nurse case managers reach out to chronically ill members with personalized assistance and information. This interaction allows your members to better manage their conditions, promotes compliance with the treatment plan and helps control your benefit plan's costs.

Integral to this effort is the involvement of our in-house medical directors and consultants. They spend several hours each day with our care support staff and are readily available to discuss cases.

We carefully guard all confidential information that members share regarding their personal medical situations. The role of the nurse case manager is to supplement the education and support that your members receive from their doctors who provide their medical care. First Health honors the integrity of the patient-doctor relationship, and treatment decisions are always made between the member and his or her doctor.
