The First Health® National Transplant Program

The First Health® National Transplant Program consistently achieves cost savings and promotes positive outcomes. Our program is designed to facilitate the use of cost-effective transplant facilities that have met rigorous credentialing standards.

Our success in negotiating with top physicians and hospitals enables us to secure cost-effective rates with selected transplant programs. Typically, we achieve 30 to 50 percent savings on medical charges. Savings accrue beginning with the policyholder's initial evaluation and extend one year post-transplant.

The hospitals and doctors participating in The First Health® National Transplant Program are a subset of The First Health® Network. We contract with selected network hospitals and doctors to perform transplants for which they are specifically qualified.
